Tourism and the hospitality industry accounts for almost a quarter of GDP. Although the global industry continues to encounter challenges arising from credit crunch to political instability, the industry represents a critical aspect of our service delivery in The Gambia which accounts for more than 100 tourist arrivals each year, mainly from the European Union. Key clients include hotels and the tourism authority which continues to review, enhance and promote the countrys marketability as a tourist destination. We provide services ranging from audit, tax to consulting services to more than 50% of clients in this sector. Our collaboration with Government in the past by developing the tourism master plan various consultations has enhanced our industry knowledge and expertise.

This industry comprise of the main land line telecommunications provider and four GSM companies. We provide audit and tax services to 80% of the companies in this sector. This sector is evolving as new technology and innovations continue to be implemented by all players in the market. The conversion to 3G is gaining ground and data services continue to gain ground. The development of broad band technology is strong and the competitive environment remains vibrant. Our industry expertise is strong as we engage clients in this sector by providing revenue assurance and other ERS services.

The public sector is critical to our service delivery, especially in consulting. Our network of international and local connection of consultants have strengthened our delivery capability in this sector resulting in major wins. With significant growth in development consulting, especially in capacity development, we anticipate the need to develop and identify strategic alliances to exploit these opportunities.
